You will need:
1 pound of sausage
4 cups shredded cheddar cheese (I like sharp cheddar)
3 cups biscuit/baking mix
3/4 cup water
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Brown the sausage. In a large bowl, mix together the cheese and biscuit mix. Drain the sausage and add to the cheese/mix mixture. Add the water and mix with a fork until it is all moist. Drop a forkful onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes. Makes quite a bit.
These are so good and are small enough so that you don't have to feel guilty. Keeps well in the fridge for a couple of days afterward too.

If you want to make these as an appetizer, you could also try using spicy sausage.

Why have you not made them for me before? heehee
I made these yesterday and they were a hit in the commune! I would like to suggest pouring or spreading garlic butter over the top when they are still warm. Yummy!
